May 2015 Graphic Image Technologies (GIT), a specialist in remote CCTV and control room technologies, video compression and transmission, has announced the release of 2 Terabyte (TB) and 4TB storage options for the Meridian Network Video Recorder (NVR).  The Meridian NVR is a cost- effective, compact, plug-and-play video surveillance system, designed for easy operation in security installations with up to eight or 16 cameras. The system is pre-configured with video management software, which is based on DVTEL’s award-winning, enterprise-grade Latitude Video Management System (VMS) and operates seamlessly with edge devices from DVTEL and other manufacturers. “With the increased uptake of High Definition (HD) cameras and the resultant higher quality video footage, the need for higher storage capacities became a pressing issue. Meridian responded to this requirement and as such, we are able to deliver higher capacity NVR’s to the local market,” says Laurence Smith, Executive at GIT. The solutions is ideal for large residences, small offices and home offices (SoHO) and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and features a set-up wizard.
